Business Development ManagerRoofing

Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of GRP profiles for a variety of application but predominantly Rooflights for industrial buildings and valley troughs for slate and tile roof applications. A new role for a Business Development Manager has become available servicing existing clients and creating new accounts amongst Roofing Merchants and Roofing Contractors.

About the Client:

Our client is a private limited company with a turnover of £11m with over 80 employees in the UK. They are a leading manufacturer of Industrial roofing systems, supplying products to end users and distributors throughout the UK.

About the Role:

  • The role involves servicing existing clients and reopening dormant accounts.
  • Once the candidate has undergone sufficient product training there will be targets with regards to opening new accounts which will grow in line with expectation.

About the Candidate:

  • Energetic, Driven and Positive ‘Can-Do’ attitude
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Build, Network and maintain client relationships
  • Must have Roofing knowledge
  • Relationships with roofing merchants & contractors is preferable
  • Identify pricing and margin opportunities
  • Customer focused, able to understand the market, identify trends and analyse data
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative issues regarding the product
  • Ability to conduct presentations to clients where necessary
  • Proactive ability to anticipate opportunities or potential problems
  • Team player able to work with others
  • Analytical, able to collate information, prioritise data and workload
  • Willing to stay overnight when seeing clients
