An industry leading company in the demolition market requires a Business Development Manager to drive forward sales and diversify into different sectors beyond what they have already achieved in the demolition market. The role is offering a very competitive package and has the potential to progress to a more senior position within the commercial department in the foreseeable future. The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic and driven individual who will be involved and invested in the company’s future direction and its progress.

About the Client:

The client has been active in the demolition sector for over 40 years with an established client base and consistent work around the south east. The company has a very strong bid management team, meaning that any BDM who does join the team would have a sole focus on driving the sales and BD side of the business.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the BDM will play an essential role in maintaining the Group’s profile and activity across a range of business sectors, which will include:
  • Traditional demolition and strip out
  • Asbestos removal
  • Decommissioning and dismantling
  • Recycling and waste management
  • Civil Engineering
  • Plant hire
The identification of potential new leads whilst researching and building relationships with potential new customers. In addition, the role will include regular engagement with public sector organisations, trade bodies, national and local government.

About the Candidate:

  • Preferably previous experience in demolition business development
  • Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise
  • Displays strong leadership skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • PC literate
  • Commercially aware
