Regional Sales ManagerLighting

Regional Sales Manager - Lighting - £60k - North West England. This is a rare and unique opportunity to work with a globally recognised manufacturer of a variety of different product ranges. As part of the new Lighting division there is a requirement for a high calibre sales manager to cover the North of England to launch our range of innovative daylighting and LED products.

Working with clients in sectors including Commercial and industrial. Working with predominately new builds. They provide the highest quality of material and service. They have been established for many years and have an impeccable reputation within the industry.

About the Role:

  • To be responsible for achieving sales budgets for Lighting products within the region
  • To develop new and existing customers, specifications and routes to market
  • To work closely with the wider business
  • To be responsible for reporting sales activity, won/lost order log, pipeline forecasting and key issues / opportunities
  • To deliver targeted contribution and maintain margins
  • To actively engage with customers and wider sales function to secure sales of Lighting products, create leads, track projects and promote products generally
  • To engage with clients, consultants, main contractors and specifiers in order to achieve product specification
  • To establish and develop strong strategic relationships and partnerships, including with wholesalers, value added resellers, direct customers and third party sales channels
  • To provide competitor intelligence from the market place to assist in product pricing, market development and product positioning
  • To provide feedback on essential product development requirements from the market in general and on issues that may affect the customer relationship

About the Candidate:

  • A proven track record in sales with a minimum of 5 years field sales experience
  • Lighting experience is essential which knowledge of working with M&E contractors, electrical and lighting wholesalers and lighting consultants
  • Knowledge of the UK lighting industry, with good understanding of energy saving concepts and ROI
  • Proven record in developing new sales opportunities, negotiating supply contracts and achieving sales growth targets
  • Good numeracy skills and use of spreadsheets
  • Good literacy and presentation skills including ability to deliver CPDs
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Ability to write and develop presentations (CPDs)
  • Well-developed interpersonal, sales, influencing, Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • An energetic team player
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure with good time management
