Specification Manager – Facade - £50k – London. Immediately seeking an experienced Specification Sales Manager selling a high end Building Envelopes products working for a manufacturer covering London. This excellent opportunity is to work with a company who have a worldwide reach experience delivering complex façade packages, to some of the most reputable Architects & Contractors in the building sector.

About the Client:

Leading designers and manufacturers of building envelope systems specialising in various metal materials of Rain screens & Curtain Walling Systems. Using our unique Curtain Walling products gives Architects and Designers to opportunity create unique, eye catching and award winning projects. As we continue to expand our demand within London has grown and subsequently we require a Specification Sales Manager to help secure these opportunities.

About the Role:

  • Specification Sales Manager position selling a range of manufactured facades and external curtain walling systems
  • This person will be responsible for managing and promoting the commercial relationship with existing clients whilst identifying further new business opportunities
  • Securing new specifications with architects and other specifier’s
  • Breaking other manufacturers cladding panel or façade specifications with main contractors, design & build contractors and/or façade installers
  • Monitoring project development and supporting commercial team with tender process
  • Targeting a broad range of market sectors, although the main markets are high rise residential and commercial
  • Managing and developing relationships with Installers and key material suppliers sales teams.
  • Advising on changes and trends in the marketplace and the activities of competitors

About the Candidate:

  • Proven field sales experience from building products industry
  • Ideally understands the principles of Curtain Walling systems
  • Ideally with knowledge of cladding, rain screen, facades or curtain walling
  • Ideally with architectural and contractor contacts in the area of operation
  • IT Literate
  • Team player
  • Strong commercial skills and decision making
  • Personable, ability to work with all levels of people from principle architects to installers
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • Autonomous
  • Ideally technical sales background
